Peer Review Process

The journal operates a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the entire evaluation process.

Each manuscript that successfully passes the initial editorial screening is generally assigned to two independent external reviewers, preferably:

  • One reviewer with expertise in the specific subject area addressed by the manuscript.

  • A second reviewer from a related or complementary field to ensure both technical rigor and the clarity, relevance, and interdisciplinary accessibility of the work.

For highly specialized manuscripts, the evaluation may be conducted by an expert reviewer together with an academic editor who possesses specialized knowledge of the manuscript’s subject matter.

Reviews must be conducted in a critical, objective, and constructive manner.

All manuscripts submitted for review are treated as strictly confidential. Reviewers agree not to disclose, reuse, or derive any direct or indirect benefit from the content under evaluation. If consultation with an external specialist is required to verify specific technical aspects, this circumstance must be communicated in advance to the editorial team.

Stages and Timelines of the Review Process

Manuscript Submission

Upon receipt of a manuscript, the corresponding author receives an email confirmation along with a unique reference number for tracking purposes.

Initial Editorial Assessment

The Editor-in-Chief or a designated editor conducts a preliminary evaluation to verify:

  • The manuscript’s suitability for the journal’s scope.

  • Compliance with the journal’s formal submission requirements.

  • Originality of the content and the absence of plagiarism.

If the manuscript is rejected at this stage, the author will be notified within a maximum of three business days.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment are forwarded for external peer review.

The average timeframe for the first editorial decision is between 30 and 45 days.

Acceptance or Request for Revision

When revisions are required, authors will receive the comments and recommendations provided by reviewers and editors.

The revised version must be submitted within 15 days, accompanied by a detailed response addressing each comment received.

Additional Review Rounds

If substantial differences arise between reviewer evaluations, the editor may request an assessment from a third reviewer.

Whenever an additional review round is necessary, it will preferably be conducted by the same reviewers who participated in the initial evaluation.

Final Decision

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the editor, who will consider all reviewer reports and recommendations.

Publication

Accepted articles will be published online approximately 15 days after final acceptance. Each article will be assigned a DOI and submitted to the appropriate indexing, registration, and dissemination systems.

All communication and interactions among authors, reviewers, and editors are conducted through the journal’s online platform, ensuring:

  • A complete digital record of every stage of the editorial process.

  • Transparency in editorial management.

  • Full editorial traceability of decisions and actions.
